Michele Bachmann Says Jesus’ Second Coming is ‘Imminent’ Because of Obama’s Nuclear Negotiations With Iran

The Christian Post reports that “Former congresswoman and 2012 Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has accused President Barack Obama of being ‘pro the goals of Islamic jihad,’ which she explains includes welcoming the ‘hidden imam’ to bring on the apocalypse.”

She went on to say, “Talk about what you see in the newspaper every single day. We can talk about God’s time clock and the fact that Jesus Christ’s return is imminent. Is there anything more important to talk about? That needs to occupy our time and our thoughts from virtually morning to night because we have very little time, in my opinion, left before the second return of Christ.”

A person can be against Obama’s Iran deal and still not believe that we have very little time left before Jesus returns. Similar claims were made about WW I, WW II, and the Cold War, and nearly every war going back centuries.

For nearly 2000 years people have claimed that some form of the end was near. Christian prophecy writers have developed elaborate charts and intricate timetables to support their dogmatic claims. They all have one thing in common; they’ve all been wrong. And while millions of Christians are being told that there is “very little time . . . left before the second return of Christ,” liberals are transforming our culture and taking away our freedoms. This has been going on for decades.

It’s no wonder that a tiny percentage of homosexuals (less than 3 percent of the population) are beating tens of millions of Christians who could right the ship of state in the next election if they weren’t so preoccupied with the claim that the end of the world is near.

My library is filled with prophecy books going back hundreds of years that assured the readers in their day that Jesus’ Second Coming was “imminent” for them.

It wasn’t too long ago that 1988 was the end date. Edgar Whisenant had written 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will be in 1988. (When 1988 came and went, it was 1989 and later 1992.) I debated Mr. Whisenant on the radio a few months prior to his September 1988 endpoint date. He told the radio audience, “If I’m wrong about this, then the Bible is wrong.”

Hal Lindsey had written The Late Great Planet Earth in 1970. It sold tens of millions of copies. Lindsey made a similar claim that 1988 would be the final year before Jesus would return. It was based on the claim that Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 was prophetically significant. He then turned to Matthew 24:34 to establish how long after 1948 it would take before Jesus returned. Here’s what Lindsey wrote:

“A generation in the Bible is something like forty years. If this is a correct deduction, then within forty years or so of 1948, all these things could take place. Many scholars who have studied Bible prophecy all their lives believe that this is so.1

Lindsey and Whisenant weren’t the only prophecy writers who made the 1948-1988 connection. The late Chuck Smith, pastor of the original Calvary Chapel, argued in a similar way. Smith wrote in his 1976 book The Soon to be Revealed Antichrist that “we are living in the last generation which began with the rebirth of Israel in 1948 (see Matt. 24:32–34).” You will search in vain in these three verses for any mention of “the rebirth of Israel.”

He repeated the claim in his 1978 book End Times: “If I understand Scripture correctly, Jesus taught us that the generation which sees the ‘budding of the fig tree,’ the birth of the nation of Israel, will be the generation that sees the Lord’s return. I believe that the generation of 1948 is the last generation. Since a generation of judgment is forty years and the Tribulation period lasts seven years, I believe the Lord could come back for His Church any time before the Tribulation starts, which would mean any time before 1981. (1948 + 40 – 7 = 1981).”2I realize this is a controversial subject for many people. Many of you may agree with Michele Bachmann about the end times. Just so you know, there is a long history of prophetic speculation based on this or that historical figure, reckless nation, or series of signs. See Francis X. Gummerlock’s book The Day and the Hour: Christianity’s Perennial Fascination with Predicting the End of the World to gain some perspective.

Harbinger

The Harbingers

The harbingers are warnings of coming judgment,” Cahn said. “Their continued manifestations are signs that America has not stopped in its departure from God but is continuing on a progression toward judgment.”

The pattern of national judgment spelled out in “The Harbinger” was set years before the nation’s destruction. In it, an attack takes place on the land, and a breach of the nation’s security is carried out by the nation’s enemies. It happened to ancient Israel in 732 B.C. It happened in America on Sept. 11, 2001.

The next stage is that instead of turning to God in repentance, the nation responds with defiance and a vow to come back stronger than before – without God. The vow Israel made is recorded in Isaiah 9:10: “The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with hewn stone. The sycamores have been cut down. But we will plant cedars in their place.”

The vow, the defiance and the nation’s attempt to come back stronger without God leads to judgment and destruction, Cahn believes.

All nine harbingers that appeared in ancient Israel have now manifested in America. The fourth harbinger is the rebuilding of the Tower of Ground Zero, also called 1 World Trade Center.

Rabbi Jonathan CahnRabbi Jonathan Cahn

When the ancient rabbis translated Isaiah 9:10 into Greek in the Septuagint, they rendered it as this: “The bricks have fallen, come let us build for ourselves a tower.

In other words, a tower would rise up from the ruins of the destruction.

“That’s exactly what happened at Ground Zero,” Cahn said. “The Tower is a symbol of a nation’s defiance of God. It was conceived in the ruins of 9/11 as a symbol of America’s defiance and of its promise that it would rise up stronger than before – without God. The rabbis were using the words from Babel to translate Isaiah 9:10. Eerily, there was a scripture hidden in the ruins of Ground Zero. The scripture was ‘Come let us build for ourselves … a tower.’”

Four of the nine harbingers concern the first warning of judgment. Five of them are signs of the nation’s defiance: the tower, the “stone of judgment,” the “erez” or cedar tree, the utterance and the prophecy.

“The strange thing is that it’s as if every one of the harbingers that stand for America’s defiance are under a curse,” Cahn said.

  • Fifth Harbinger – The stone of judgment, which formed the cornerstone of the tower, was removed from Ground Zero and put into disuse.
  • Seventh Harbinger – The erez tree, or biblical cedar, which was planted at the corner of Ground Zero to replace the fallen sycamore, and called the “Tree of Hope,” a symbol of America combing back stronger, has decayed, withered away and, just recently, died.
  • Eighth Harbinger – The American leader who uttered the ancient vow of defiance of Isaiah 9:10, former Democrat Sen. John Edwards, fell from grace as a result of scandal.
  • Ninth Harbinger – The other American leader who prophetically pronounced judgment on America in the form of the ancient vow, from the floor of the Capitol, the day after 9/11, was former Democrat Sen. Tom Daschle. He also fell from grace and from national life.

So what does all this have to do with rats overrunning the new tower at Ground Zero?

“The Fourth Harbinger, the tower, the symbol of the America’s defiance, America’s glory and, with a height of 1,776 feet, of America itself – is now overrun with rats,” Cahn said. “It’s not that everything that happens at Ground Zero must be significant – but for such a building, such a symbolic building, to be overrun with rats, is striking.”

Cahn said rats are a universal symbol of “uncleanness, decay, devouring, plague, disease, pestilence and destruction.”

According to an article in Women’s Wear Daily, the “rat problem” at One World Trade Center has gotten better after a few visits from pest control.

But the rat plague is only getting worse, according to a report by the Real Deal, a trusted source of real estate news in New York City.

EXPERTS: PASSOVER BLOOD MOON ARRIVES AT ‘DARK MOMENT’

Religious leaders cite links between heavenly signs, political scenarios

If it’s a coincidence, it’s an astounding one. An ominous “Blood Moon” appearing at the same time the Obama administration is boasting of a nuclear agreement with Iran that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says endangers the very survival of the Jewish state.

And experts warn that Barack Obama’s actions could herald disastrous consequences not just for Israel, but for the world.

Pastor Mark Biltz, the discoverer of the Blood Moons phenomenon, says current events in the Middle East are “totally tied to these Blood Moons.”

“A number of rabbis have said this, that Obama comes across as a kind of Haman figure. Haman we recall was a Persian official who wanted to kill the Jews living within that empire. Of course, the modern heir of the Persian Empire is Iran, now the Islamic Republic. And we have Iranian generals openly saying that they want to destroy Israel. God is clearly sending us a sign reminding us of these parallels.”

WND reported only this weekend that one Jewish rabbi in Israel is asking for special prayer because of the alignment of the Blood Moon, in the skies early Saturday.

And he issued an ominous warning.

Rabbi Amram Vaknin, described as a “mystic rabbi living in southern Israel,” urged all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches, according to a report in Breaking Israel News.

Vaknin is not easily dismissed because he reportedly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, the Operations Pillar of Defense of 2012 and Protective Edge of 2014.

He warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time, according to the report.

The Saturday event was during the Jewish festival of Passover and on the day leading up to Christians’ Resurrection Sunday.

But Biltz, author of “Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs,” points to more amazing correlations.

“Here our 44th president has signed off on a nuclear agreement with Israel’s arch enemy who has declared in no uncertain terms they will destroy Israel. Rabbi Vaknin was recently quoted in Breaking Israel News to the effect that the numeric value of the Hebrew word for blood, dam, which is 44, alludes to the 44th president of the United States, and that he would bring bloodshed (dam) to the Jewish people.”

“But more than that, here, on Passover, when you put blood on the doorpost you have the Hebrew letter Dalet meaning door and is also the number 4 with a blood moon over it on the date of 4/4.”

Biltz believes this is no coincidence. But even those who are not looking skyward foresee great danger of the Jewish state as a result of Obama’s nuclear agreement with Iran.

According to a Tweet from his official spokesperson Mark Regev, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called a nuclear deal with Iran based on the current framework a threat “to the survival of Israel.”

Iranian officials have boasted they will continue their nuclear program and some experts believe the Islamic Republican may already possess nuclear warheads.

Pastor Carl Gallups, author of the end times bestseller “Final Warning: Understanding the Trumpet Days of Revelation,” says Obama has proved himself untrustworthy and Americans should be skeptical about any deal with Iran.

Gallups told WND, “There appears to be a fundamental disagreement between Benjamin Netanyahu and Barack Obama concerning the United States and its negotiations with Iran concerning Iran’s nuclear program. I am inclined to side with Netanyahu on this matter. Obama’s track record on ‘truth telling’ is not that stellar. Does anyone remember, ‘If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor?’

“Obama’s odious, and well documented, history of dealing with Israel and Netanyahu is one of the glaring weaknesses of his administration according to many of his most serious critics. Also, Obama’s obvious proclivities to lean in the direction of all things ‘Islamic’ also has a large number of politicians, pundits, and even mainstream media on edge – especially as he ‘deals’ with radical Islamic regimes in the matters of nuclear weapons proliferation.

“The matter of Israel’s survival is a serious one and a biblical one. This is a matter, in my opinion, that must be dealt with – as Netanyahu put it – by ‘standing firm and increasing the pressure on Iran until a better deal is achieved.’”

Joel Richardson, author of the theological blockbuster “When a Jew Rules The World: What the Bible Really Says About Israel in the Plan of God,” says Barack Obama is not just endangering Israel’s strategic position, but possibly enabling genocide.

“We have reached a tremendously dark and sad moment in the history of the United States. President Obama is acting in a way that compromises not only the general security of Israel, but her actual existence.

“In the final phase of his presidency, Barack Obama is confirming the worst suspicions of his critics. Not only is he is openly working in ways that benefit the Islamist dictatorship of Iran, a regime which is openly calling for the extermination of the Jewish state, but at the same time, he is functioning in an openly hostile and adversarial manner toward Israel, the only shining beacon of democracy and freedom in the Middle East.”

But Richardson says it is not just Israel that is at risk but the United States. Barack Obama, he suggests, has done nothing less than open the nation to the risk of divine judgment.

“More than any other name, the creator of Heaven and Earth, the God of the Bible calls Himself, the God of Israel. Through His prophets, He has repeatedly warned that a tremendous punishment awaits the vessels through which tribulation falls upon the Jewish people. (Isaiah 10:5-12).

“It is the duty of Christians throughout the earth to warn our president that such actions will result in the most severe punishment when Jesus returns. As much as we all love the various images of Jesus the Messiah gently cradling a baby lamb over his shoulders, the Scriptures also speak of the fact that when Jesus returns, ‘He will crush kings on the day of his wrath. He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth’ (Psalm 110:5-6).

“While the global atmosphere of increasing anti-Semitism and anti-Zionist sentiment may be make it quite fashionable and hip to treat little Israel as our president is doing, the fact remains that the day is looming where Barack Obama, along a host of leaders from Muslim nations and the UN will look into the very Jewish eyes of their creator and judge, and He will render to them the righteous punishment for how they have treated His brethren, the Jewish people,” he said.

“As a Bible believing Christian, we are called to pray for our leaders. Today my prayer for President Obama and the majority of our present government leaders is for repentance. At this point, only a genuine and deep repentance will spare them from the wrath of Jesus, who is coming back to restore the Jewish Kingdom, exactly as He promised (Matthew 19:28).”

Biltz also clearly has wrath on his mind. When asked what specifically he expects, Biltz compared the situation to a dust cloud gathering in the distance.

“When you see a dust cloud coming, you don’t know exactly what it is, but you know it is something. I do think a major war is coming to Israel, as other Blood Moons have been involved with those kinds of events. I also believe economic collapse in our own country is a real possibility.”

As they look skyward, Biltz says people need to look inwards as well. “People need to pray and people need to be prepared. A storm is growing for sure.”
